What is Curriculum Builder?

Curriculum Builder: a LMS Plug-in Hosted by EBSCO

Ebsco Curriculum Builder makes it easy to create and manage reading lists and digital resources subscribed to by the Mendocino College Library. Please review the content on this how-to page for directions on how to add e-journals, e-books, digital resources, and other library subscription database content into your Canvas course modules. 

Films on Demand

Adding films from Films on Demand to Canvas:

1. From within a module, choose to add an external tool

2. Scroll down to Films on Demand

3. Type in the title of the film or keywords

4. Click the embed link of the film or segments you want to add

5.Save and publish

 

How to Use Curriculum Builder in Canvas

When adding content to a module, Curriculum Builder is found within the External Tools

Select 'Ebsco Curriculum Builder' on the list

A search bar is embedded on the page, perform your search

Click 'Add to Reading List'

Import Items from an EBSCO Folder

  1. Go to the folder and click 'export'
  2. Select Generic Bibliographic Management Software
  3. Click Save
  4. In Curriculum Builder click on 'See Current Reading Lists'
  5. Click 'Import from 'EBSCO Folder (beta)'
  6. Copy and paste all the records in the box and click 'Generate List'
