Native Storytelling Event

Thursday, November 20th, 5:30 - 8:00pm

Mendocino College Little Theatre

Refreshments 5:30pm

Gathering 6:00pm

Join us for a dynamic session that blends traditional Native storytelling with the vibrant world of graphic art and illustration. Joceyln Garcia and Eric Wilder, both talented artists and storytellers, will share how visual art brings Indigenous stories to life and connects cultural heritage to contemporary expression.

Through their illustrations and narratives, participants will explore:

  • The role of storytelling in Native American culture and community.
  • How graphic art and digital media preserve and reimagine traditional stories.
  • The power of visual storytelling to engage new generations

This even celebrates the creativity, resilience, and voices of Native artists while highlighting the intersection of tradition and innovation.
