The Chicago citation style is primarily used by disciplines in history and some humanities fields. The official guide is published by the University of Chicago Press.
Chicago uses two versions to cite sources. You will need to know which version is required for your class or assignment. If you are unsure, ask your instructor.
Notes & Bibliography citations list the title second in the citation. To refer to information within a paper, it uses footnotes and endnotes.
Author-Date citations list the date second in the citation. To refer to information within a paper, it uses in-text citations.
There are a LOT of options for citation generators. Some are free and some require that you create an account to access additional features such as storing unlimited citations.
