Writing Argumentative Essays

2. Body paragraphs with detailed evidence that explains the topic. Students should move between the paragraphs and arguments by using transitional words and phrases to improve understanding.

3. Counterarguments: address opposing views with respect but explain, with evidence, why they are not as good as your argument.

4. Persuasive Conclusion: Explain how your evidence supports your argument and how your thesis is justifyable.
